As part of our current learning theme, ‘Places Around Us’, today we took all of the children to the local fish and chip shop for a fun lunch experience. Each child was able to talk to the shop assistant to request their meal, which was great conversation practice. After several months of lockdown, this was a lovely outing for the young children. The Blue Oyster fish and chip shop on Preston Road kindly catered for our vegetarian children too, by cooking their meals separately without fish. We have also created a role play fish and chip shop at Nursery this week. Thank you to all the parent volunteers who came along to join our meal! Lots of children have already asked to visit the shop again soon.
